Jesus Christ is risen from the dead! Happy Easter! The resurrection changes everything for us. We no longer have to fear death. Jesus reveals the Resurrection and opens heaven to us. We do not have to fear what others might do to us because nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. We can even forgive others the same way we have been forgiven by Jesus.

The Resurrection is the best news ever told. It is such a joy to be able to celebrate our new life in Christ together today and for the fifty days of our Easter season.

We are in the Year of Mercy. This year we are invited to walk through the open doors of the Catholic Church and receive God’s mercy. Then, we are sent forth to be merciful to others. The Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy continue to be a focus for us. The Corporal Works of Mercy are: Feed the hungry, Give drink to the thirsty, Clothe the naked, Visit the sick, Shelter the homeless, Visit the Imprisoned, Bury the dead. The Spiritual Works of Mercy are: Admonish the sinner, Instruct the ignorant, Counsel the doubtful, Comfort the sorrowful, Bear wrongs patiently, Forgive all injuries, Pray for the living and the dead. Live your new life in Christ by doing works of mercy.

If you have been away from the Church and the regular practice of your Catholic faith, now is the perfect time to return. Jesus never tires of forgiving us. If there is anything way we can help you return please let us know. Sins can be forgiven. Relationships can be healed. New life in Christ possible right now.
