Pre-Cana

Marriage is part of the bedrock of the Church, family, and community and is meant to represent God’s love here on Earth. In many passages of scripture, God uses marriage as a metaphor for His relationship with us. He is the bridegroom and the Church, his bride. In fact, God loved his “bride” so much, that He gave His life for her on the cross for her redemption and restoration to Himself.
Similarly, in marriage, each spouse sacrifices for the love and good of the other. Out of that love and devotion, they give themselves to one another in daily life in actions, words, and deeds.
We take today to honor this special bond and sacrifice for all married couples. We pray that God may bless your sacramental union and preserve it with His grace.
Take this moment to tell your spouse your thankfulness for them and their love.
